99.93% uptime and triple-redundant backups. Having eBidTeam available 24x7xForever and being fully recoverable is a necessity. All of our servers have dual redundant power supplies, dual load-balanced network cards plugged into different routers going into different backbones, and RAID 5 SCSI drive arrays. This means that your server could lose a power supply, a network card, two hard drives, a router and two backbone providers at the same time and eBidTeam would not go down.
In the event of a catastrophic server failure, all of eBidTeam's web server AND SQL Server data is backed up near-time to an external SCSI drive array, which is in turn backed up daily to DLT tape and stored off-site.
power backup. eBidTeam is fully redundant. We are connected to a 750KVa diesel generator for long-term fail-over in the event of a power failure. Additionally, we are located on two diverse power grids within the city. Should we have a city-wide power grid failure, the second grid will cycle within a matter of minutes.
eBidTeam servers are connected to two separate UPS systems, each designed to maintain a consistent level of amperage until the diesel generator takes over. All power redundancies in place are immediate in a failover situation and require no human intervention to become active. |
